Taylor'd Handling
AKC Conformation Dog Handler
Taylor has been working with dogs since early childhood. She started Junior Shomanship at age 9 in the AKC. In 2013, Taylor started working for a professional dog handler as an assistant which taught her a great deal about the care and maintenance of dogs. After traveling and showing dogs full time for 2 years, Taylor graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Agricultural Communications and Agricultural Business. She is currently training and handling dogs at AKC dog shows.
Living and working with client dogs on the show circuit has taught Taylor much about overall care and treatment of dogs. She understands the the importance of proper feeding, ample exercise, and administration of medication, if needed. She is also well versed in recognizing signs of distress and responds appropriately. |
Taylor has 2 personal dogs of her own. Marilyn, a Pointer, was Taylor's Junior Showmanship Dog and has since gained her Trick Dog title. Faith, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, was intended to be a show dog. At 6 months of age, Faith developed a bone infection that vets believe was the result of a snake bite. After many weeks of care with OSU Vet School, Taylor was forced to make a heart wrenching decision regarding Faith's future. She decided to give Faith the opportuity to have a full life by amputating the leg. Taylor has committed herself to making sure Faith has a purpose in her future. She is now working with Faith on dock diving and Faith is surprising everyone at how quickly she is learning.
She is happy to answer your questions and will arrange a time to meet you and your dog. |
